FAQ Friday #50 - What would be your top tip for winter storage?

Personally, I would always recommend "wash it and dry it" as my top tip.

Wash it...

Washing down an inflatable with fresh water can remove corrosive salt deposits, seaweed which is a nightmare to pick off once dry, plus all the other signs of boating fun...mud, sand, silt...

Cleaning things down is a great time to inspect for any wear and tear that might need further attention.

And dry it...
It's so important to dry things properly and this usually means allowing things to air dry after towelling them down to ensure they're properly dry. I've been speaking with Red Paddle Co about the number of calls they get about paddle boards going mouldy from storage, and it's totally preventable!

So, whilst I could elaborate, my top storage tip for any inflatable that is going to be stored away is "wash it and dry it".

Don't forget we have an extensive range of cleaning products should your inflatable need more than just a fresh water hose down...
