Friday FAQ #29 - How do I remove the black spots from the fittings on my RIB?

Black spots on inflatables are usually mould and they can appear on the hypalon, PVC or PU fabric as well as the fittings such as handles and rubbing strakes.

Hope isn't lost though and we do sell a product which can remove the mould. I do recommend giving the affected area a deep clean first so the mould can be acted on more directly, rather than through a layer of dirt. 

And what is the magic product? It's Spot Off, by August Race. Apply the liquid onto the affected areas using a soft cotton cloth, or brush. Leave for a short while and then rinse thoroughly.
